The Moomin’s are enjoyed children characters created by Tove Jansson and Fazer has adapted them for their children bubble gum products. For several months I worked as lead production designer for the Moomin and other Fazer 80g and 100g bubble gum packages. Refreshing the appearance of Xylident’s logo, typefaces, colors and redefining the company tone and photography for preparation of the package relaunch.

The Fazer bubble gums are well known for their beneficial xylitol content. After the new design standarts were set, we had to recreate the layout design, photography images and adapt ingerdient texts accordingly to each country. For the redesigns of the Fazer bubble gum packages I worked closely with the package print team in Sweden, while seated in Helsinki, Finland. The complexity of the task taught me patience and great deal about the limiting parameters of the packaging industry.  The Fazer bubble gums are sold in Scandinavia, the Baltic countries and Russia.
